So Fi Zine

I am the creator and editor of So Fi Zine (ISSN 2209-3028), a sociological fiction zine published by my indie press Frances St Press. So Fi Zine publishes short stories, poetry, cartoons, photo essays and other creative works. Read it online at sofizine.com.

Edition #4 launched in November 2018 and was inspired by Raewyn Connell’s extensive body of work, linked by the idea of showing social alternatives.

Edition #3 launched in July 2018 and was inspired by Les Back and Nirmal Puwar’s work on live methods.

Edition #2 launched in November 2017 and was inspired by Howard Becker’s work on telling about society.

Edition #1 launched in June 2017, and was inspired by Patricia Leavy’s work on fiction as a social research method.

Since launching, So Fi Zine has reached over 4,600 readers (with 21,000 views) across 80 countries. The zine has been at the London Radical Bookfair 2017 and the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia Zine Fair, part of Sydney Writers’ Festival, in 2018.
